Beach Bums Cloth Diaper service began because our family is passionate about the environment and we want San Diego to have a natural, organic, environmentally friendly diaper choice. Amy is a former nanny and mom to Marley; Shawn is a biologist and Daddy to Marley. Marley is an active, happy one year old enjoying a rash and chemical free bum! We have called San Diego home for over 7 years. For us, Beach Bums Cloth Diaper Service is a way to share our passion for cloth diapering and natural parenting. It is also a way to teach Marley the importance of living a lifestyle where protecting the environment and making life choices that show an awareness of our impact on the earth are a priority.

We will provide organic cloth diapers, wipes and covers while using the most eco-friendly washing methods available. This includes energy efficient and water conserving washing methods, biodegradable phosphate free detergents and chlorine free bleach alternatives. We will also dry diapers in the sun, which is a natural whitener and saves precious energy. The diapers then spend very little time in the dryer for fluffing. As our company grows we hope to incorporate new "green" technology as it becomes available.

We wanted only organic diapers and natural fabric touching Marley's sensitive bottom and want to give San Diego parents with similar views the same choice-- with the added convenience of having us do the washing for you! We hope that you will join us in the crusade to make our landfills free of disposable diapers and our baby's bums free of harsh chemicals!
